Each interviewee was asked about one project that they had taken part in. Information was gathered about:
The synthesis of this primary research led to these findings:
Designers felt they faced issues articulating project plans for creative projects.
This led to many undesirable effects such as overshot timelines and compromises on the quality of output.
Managers conveyed that handling multiple projects simultaneously usually entailed documentation being missed , details being overlooked, and sometimes led to very unfavourable outcomes.
Prototyping included process assets as well as a concept for a modular framework for design management.
The prototypes were tested by small teams with their planning, delivery process and documentation.
